Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: belfast Date: 29 Oct 02 - 11:40 AM Be warned. Yes, Mudcat is indeed wonderful. It is an incredible resource for information. It is educational. It is incredible entertaining. But it can be addictive. A government health warning might be useful. |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: JenEllen Date: 29 Oct 02 - 11:46 AM Yeah, wilco, you pegged it. A couple of years ago I might have shrugged, hell, I still might, but I've learned more and laughed more than I ever thought possible and met some mighty fine folks in the process (yourself included). Stick around and enjoy. ~yerJE |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: Coyote Breath Date: 29 Oct 02 - 12:43 PM Agreement from the wilds of Missouri. Aussiebloke, when the Rians get there say cheerybye for me eh? :) I constantly suggest Mudcat to all and sundry. I know this is addictive! Almost as much as Solitare! I am now setting up my audio studio for archieving and for original CD production all because of the excellent information and suggestions I have had from this site. I shall be fully operational in a week or so and then the WORLD shall know of my intent! (?) Next I will be creating a website for free downloading of a "book" I am writing. The "book" will only be available on the www, either to read or download as a pdf file. I will be seeking expertise and suggestions from mudcatters for that project, yes indeed! CB |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: 53 Date: 29 Oct 02 - 01:13 PM Mudcat is addictive. |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: GUEST,T-Tone Date: 29 Oct 02 - 08:48 PM I'll echo the sentiment. The mudcat was recomended by a friend and one of the first websites I ever went to. I must say that I don't think theres a finer place on the net. Greetings from Milwaukee! |

Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 30 Oct 02 - 06:58 AM When I log in each night Mudcat is where I start (& sometimes stay). Many of my bookmarks have come thru Mudcat. I tell everyone who will listen (or not) about Mudcat, I also tell everyone I'm addicted. I was introduced to Mudcat by Bob Bolton & I love what Mudcat has to offer - especially the forum & the Digital TRadition - 9000 songs!!! It's a great community. sandra |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: Art Thieme Date: 30 Oct 02 - 08:43 PM You will most likely find and make real friends here---friends whose music is as incansdescent as, say, Backblocks Musicians. The songs and tunes that Mr. Bob Bolton renders on his several bellows instruments---squeeze-box tunes that are wholly native to Oz; ones not brought from afar----represent a marvelous collected archive he has put together. I feel quite honored that he allowed me to hear some of what he has done. Yes, this is a remarkable oasis. Welcome, and drink deep. Art Thieme |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: Genie Date: 30 Oct 02 - 08:57 PM Right, Wilco, Mudcat is great (AND it IS addictive). Glad you're with us. Genie |
Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: khandu Date: 30 Oct 02 - 09:23 PM wilco, Be aware...there are some weirdos here. If Spaw should post a response to any of your threads, read it s-l-o-w-l-y and carefully; it may well be a subtle brain-warp. He takes much evil pleasure in that sort of thing! You will quickly gain Little Hawk's respect if you voice an adoration for Shatner. Whenever you respond to Carol C., never refer to her as "Carol C.". You must call her "Carol the Sailor". Sorcha is a cop. Walk uprightly around her. Bee-dubya-ell lives in Florida. He does not like his Governor, nor the Governor's brother. 53 is not 53, his wife is. Joe Offer is a good guy, but he has "kill the thread" powers. khandu begins with a small "k". He is a wonderful, great, wise fellow, but goes bonkers at a big "K". Kendall is crusty. But quite enjoyable. (WHBH!) There are many more to discuss (amos,Bobert, kat,Liz,Tweed,Jerry, Genie,greg,garg.etc,etc., but I cannot list them all here or Joe will exercise his "ktt" power ;-) k |

Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: khandu Date: 30 Oct 02 - 09:36 PM wilco, I have had a terrible headache tonight, plus the sun is in my eyes, and my dog is in heat, and Bob Dylan called while I was in the tub, so I have had terrible distractions. I intended to put another fellow in my list, in fact, in Number One position, but, all this crap got me side-tracked. I will now place him in the top spot. There is a fellow named Amos. k |

Subject: RE: What a wonderful place is Mudcat! From: Freso Date: 31 Oct 02 - 01:15 PM khandu: For the record, you might want to add that Freso really dislikes having either an 'n' or a 'c' put between the 's' and 'o'... |
