For maximum reach use gifs.
and there are a lot of people out there using IE 3.0 & Netscape 4 who can't see fancy websites. Stick to HTML 4.0 if you can.
check the site live from another machine/modem.
It is amazing what you can miss - trust me I have been there and made these miatakes.
Post the URL when you are ready and you will get a few useful comments.

Thanks for your helpful comments guest. I'm not actually building it myself but am helping with the content and will be managing and modifying it on an ongoing basis - changing the gigs list, monthly guest beers etc.

It's here. Go to http://www.suninnbeverley.co.uk/. There are still a few adjustments to make on the content but it is mainly in place.

Check out the gigs page to see who is on and also, if you are a band looking for bookings, which dates are free.

I forgot to say earlier that we have tried put in lots of links to other sites, especially for bands and breweries, but if anyone would like a link their own site(or any other relevant one) we'll add it on - a link to Mudcat is an obvious omission that will be rectified soon - but this is only day one and we'll improve.
