While on the subject of beards, what do the ladies think of them? I only ask coz I've got one and I'd like the other!

Beards and sox? I wear both, but my wife only takes care of one.

Asked my wife, she didn't mind the beard when I had one, but said she'd rather me take off my sox.

A beard or mustache, once grown in, is no hindrance. It's the in-between sandpaper phase that's uncomfortable.

Just realized Schantieman might be talking about beards and sax.

I don't think a beard is a good idea for sax players, the hair might get in the reed ....

You have a saxophone and you want to grow a beard? No problem. Beards and sax go pretty well together as long as the beard doesn't get so long that it gets tangled up in those little valve lifter thingies on the sax.

I've had both. You will never get a firm answer, because some women like them, others don't.

No, he means beards and sUx. You know, like sucking up the food particles, that you have dribbled into your beard, for a late night snack.

When I was younger, I never got laid until I had a beard. So I stuck with it for quite a while!

Just to keep this thread PC, perhaps we should ask what do the fellows think about women with beards ?

If you put "beard" in the Forum search, you will probably find more than you ever wanted to know about Beards and Mudcatters, What's With the Beards, and Bards and Beards.**BG**

Oh! I thought he meant beards and sex - Well, Its mostly the men that have beards, but the fairer sex have been known to develop furry chins on occasion!

I thought he meant being six years old and having a beard. I think children are maturing faster as our spiecies evolves,so having a beard at six is probably no big deal.
Peace, Rustic

My better half agrees with Kim C. And her definition of "sandpaper" is "any day I haven't shaved". Compared with trimming it every month or so. I'm keeping the beard.

I'm in agreement with Kim C.    The initial growing stages are very painful but once the beard is fully grown it tends to get soft and non scratchy.

Initial growing has never been the problem - it takes about a week to look and feel OK and it hardly ever itches. This is why I gave up shaving in the first place - twice a day if I needed to look respectable in the evening, with sensitive skin (let's hear it...aaaaah!). That and it's just not natural.

What was the TV programme - years ago - in which one of the characters used to spell out S - E - ...and then draw an X in the air with his ?(her) finger instead of saying it? That was what my feeble attampt at satire was attempting (inaccurately and unsuccessfully) to emulate.

My bloke has a beard and it is really soft...I like it..as for sex...thats good too!!!

However he did trim the beard down a couple of months back and it felt like sandpaper...had to ration kisses as it made my lips sore but it's grown back now and I like it!!!

How many sex idols have beards? How sexy do you think those men are?

Think of the men women go to see in films; so they have beards?

There you go, now, that's an honest answer - or a way for you to find one.

Yes, Cats, I used to find this too. (in the days when it mattered!)

Tell you what, though - you can get some interesting effects by stroking things with the beard, as long as its NOT scratchy!

And yes, JTT, I know. But do I want to take up with the kind of woman who....?   Slightly Grouchoesque! Now there's a moustache for you.
