Subject: RE: Chords Req: Gaberlunzie songs From: GUEST,Mauro Date: 20 Apr 05 - 05:40 AM Hi there, I got a Gaberlunzie cd some years ago from a guy I knew in a Glasgow pub, no titles on it, but I managed to get few lyrics. I'm still looking for some though, one of which is about "Callum, Joe, myself and Donald John had come to town", basically is a song about a trip they took to Glasgow from Skye. Another one has a line that goes "for the waters of Loch Leven (...) where the lights of home are dancing on the shores" Anyone has a clue about the songs' titles and the lyrics? Thanks in advance, Mauro |

Subject: RE: Chords Req: Gaberlunzie songs From: Big Tim Date: 02 Dec 02 - 12:10 PM The lads were excellent here last Saturday: St Andrew's Day. I managed a quick word with Gordon during the interval when he, The Gaberlunzie Marketing and Merchandizing Division, was selling CDs from his briefcase. I requested "Auntie Bella" and he obliged. (I had no time for any more requests as people were milling around more tham somewhat). |

Ive seen the guys thrice and the bast one was at the Star in Strathaven last year. If any of you wee people are going to the gig could you do me a favour and ask Gordon about the chord books that he was talking about when i last spoke to him. He was on about releasing a book of all his own stuff, now that would be a fantastic thing to have. Once again cheers Dylan |

Subject: RE: Chords Req: Gaberlunzie songs From: Big Tim Date: 15 Nov 02 - 11:09 AM Kendall: will they know your "handle"? I'll definitely be there and should be able to have a word - the Queen's Hall here is a very open little venue. Love "Sam the Skull"! And what was that other similar one? Something about finding what they thought was a pup outside Calderpark Zoo, grew up to be a lion or something and created havoc. Hilarious! |
