Subject: Question on adding music references here From: GUEST Date: 15 Nov 02 - 09:22 AM In the research I'm currently doing on peace/anti-war/pacifist music, I'm coming across a lot of good stuff, but I'm not sure of the best way to post it so it gets cross-referenced, that sort of thing. For instance, I'm guessing someone has pointed out The Virtual Gramophone website of Canadian Sound Recordings. As I was looking at the bibliography for World War I anti-war songs at that website, I thought to myself there should really be some links to it from Mudcat, and reference to it as a resource, considering the amount of interest songs from this era seems to generate in the forum. Same is true for the lyrics, etc. I'm coming across, like the Malvina Reynolds song "Peace Isn't Treason" I just posted. How much source information should be included in these posts/threads, and how would something like that song get cross-referenced when added to the database? Could someone who works with these matters give some tips, as I've only ever posted lyrics here and there before? But the stuff I'm researching now is subject matter from different countries, eras, etc. Thanks! |
