Hull fiddler Jim Eldon is performing this week in Greatfield, hull. The Event has been organised as part of the Humber Mouth Hull 2002 Festival.Jim will discuss his roots and influences as well as play some great music. He will also be in conversation with Andy Richardson from Hull Partners for Change Project who have funded the event. When I spoke to Andy this week he told me "It's great to be a part of an event like this, Jim has great talent as a fiddler, singer, storyteller, and interpreter of local folklore.Andy Kershaw on BBC Radio 3 called him "A national treasure".This is an event not to be missed!".Jim appears on Tuesday 19th November at 2PM in St Hilda's Church on Annandale Road and admission is free.If anyone wants any more information, then please call Andy on Hull 01482 709664.

Jim & Lynnette Eldon performed in Beverley as part of the People's Voice festival last summer. Everyone who saw them was very impressed and I'm sure that Jim will be well worth a visit on Tuesday next.

Roger

Heloo Sir Roger, I tried to find the festival programme so that i could copy the review that you wrote, but i think i have chucked it out, it's a good job really as you might get fed up of me copying your reviews and Sue me!
If anyone is going then make sure you get the right Annandale Road, as their is 2 of them in Hull, you want the one in East Hull, of Holderness Road.I think the number 156 bus goes there, but ask the bus peoplle to make sure their number is 222222.
Jim can also be seen at the music session at The Tap n Spile, Spring Bank, Hull, on Tuesday nights and The Hull Folk Club at The Bull Hotel , Beverley Road on Thursaday night.

Annandale Road is on Greatfield - quite a long way from Holderness Road. No wonder their currys are always cold.
