I can think of several things, but watching the birth of a personality cult has probably been the most fascinating. 9Allegidly0.

jOhn9 from Hull has enriched my life by exasperating some of the more po-faced inmates here who are incapable of appreciating the gestation, flowering, and maturing of a unique talent.

I have watched his career with interest right from his first posting. In these days he couldn't spell correctly, of course, but that has changed now.

The question is how many bears does it take? Snoopy used to ask that when he was in his depressed and morose World War I flying ace mode.

Only with him it was root bears.

he cirtainly keeps us informed of 'what's on' and encourages people to 'turn up if you can make it'. 'john from hull' is also quite entertaining with his post's! on a more personal side, he has done me quite a few favours, won't bore you with the details though. He is quite entertaining locally as well, for the last week he has been dishing out straws to all the local folkies. its a competition to see who can suck the most curry off his shirt without being sick. oakley, (johnns flat mate & best mate) is tip't'win with ossonflags a close second. (or was that the other way round!) i can tell you that; 'john from hull' ditests- traffic wardens, bin-bags, clean socks, and bunjy jumps. he likes; pigion's, boiled or curried, crap cars, and of course sume bear9

Missed John on Tuesday - he usually turns up about 10pm and tries to get a free bear by carrying a mandolin case and pretending to be a musician. I was forced to drink his free bear as well as my own - perhaps he'll turn this Tuesday for my birthday bash

Carrying a mandolin case and pretending to be a musician. Indeed.

Real mandolin pliers don't carry cases. They interfere with the quick-draw effect. A length of twine is all you rilly knead.

Bunjy jumpers are NOT a big rip-off.
Unless you tie the thing round you neck. of course.
His speeling is atroshus, and should not be incouridged9.
As for putting Hull9 on the map - why? It's not on the way to anywhere I wish to go. (unless they sing shanties in Hull9.)

Continued support, endless free promotion, his mandolin on a saturday afternoon, his guitar on a tuesday night, a good excuse to meet attractive young ladies (well, they needed rescuing from him...somebody had to do it....) and endless giggles. The phrase bear9HOI is indelibly etched in my memory. Thanks jOhn.

Hi John

Eponymous means that it is the person named earlier for example - the eponymous hero of a book called "Roger's Big Adventure" would be Roger because his name is in the title. I think that is a good name for a hero anyway.

Roger

ps

I'm not expecting a card - your presence is enough to make a special birthday for anyone
