From: Joan from Wigan

I've been asked to try to find this song. It is vaguely familiar, perhaps from the sixties. Can't find anything in the DT, the forum, or via Google. Some of the lyrics:

My old man works for the council, gets twenty-four quid a week
And with four nippers and another on the way, it's hard to make ends meet
So I gets this form from the FIS down at the CAB
And I sends it off to the old SS and they sends some back to me

(Chorus):
Red ones, pink ones, covered in print ones
Forms that last for ages...

Can anyone help please?

Joan

I have looked and looked, Joan, but I have nothing to show for it. I'll look again!

I think it's a good idea to have the information posted here, so it will be available permanently, even if the link goes dead.
