I think he left in time for the voices concert in the next room. He was sitting on the row of chairs opposite the windows, when I was sitting on the row by the windows. I think that may have been before you came in Snuffy.

Several of us were wearing Mudcat badges and/or T-shirts, mostly at the round table nearest the bar. We must have seen you, but didn't put the name to the face. What did you sing?

WassaiL! v

At 9.30 I was probably still singing/chatting in the Arts Centre Coffee Bar, with the odd peep into the theatre to hear Johnny Collins et al.

Noreen, it's just possible we may have met outside the Arts Theatre around 21:30 while I was having a crafty fag (no funny comments from the US please)...you wouldn't be the one who had all her clothes locked in the Scout Hut, would you?

OK Mgas, it was the name-calling (which I don't think was in jest) which bothered me.

Yes, Bed'uth was brill, Scout Hut partying til 5am, not aware of meeting George, but if he was incognito.... Maybe another time?

OK, let's close this down now. Had lots of fun, met up with JudeL briefly, followed Johnny Collins and Graeme Knights a bit, caught Keith Donnelly and Les Barker, Steve Tilston (now, he's great!) and was discovered (!) by Sheila Mosley (from Leicester, sings with Pete Burnham, good harmonies, and Sheila plays a very decent guitar too) and Ciaran Dorris (what a voice!), both of whom are interested in doing my stuff.

Ah, and Johnny Collins did "Heart of a Sailor Boy" in the Songs of the Sea session, and what amazed me was that the whole of the audience (some 130 people) joined in from the very first chorus...I was choked.

Bed'rth being the last of the festivals in the UK season, I guess winter now is upon us. Have a good Christmas!

Life is wonderful! Beer Festival in Luton last night (continues till Sunday for the benefit of Real Ale drinkers as opposed to Pretend Ale Drinkers) and have sat down at my desk with a specially prepared slightly singed Bacon Roll presented to me by our Head Chef who knows just how I like it on these 'hungover' mornings. And yes, it's just as delicious as you can imagine & I'm going to enjoy every last mouthful :-000 (gulp, crunch)

FGWT12S (most are content with initials after their name!) - On the basis that Port is good for the voice, I am in charge of a newly imported bottle of Commanderia which needs to be rigourously tested. A Girlie W'k's'p sounds just the ticket & sleepovers were always fun when I was a lass, Lovely Offer Gratefully Received (LOGR)!

Meanwhile - all you lucky people going to Bedworth, enjoy, meet as many Catters as you can & listen out for our George - he's a real treasure in our midst *S*

Guru - Blu Ankar will be on this Sat, just minus the Fat Greek With The 12-string. And also the following Friday, I believe (incl FGWT12S), as a last pre-Xmas spasm for Snollbuns.

But fret not; you should take advantage of the lull to visit sunny Amersham for a workshop with Christine & Vanessa. And I am sure that there would be room at the Mellows Inn for an overnight stay, to maximise enjoyment and drinking and minimise driving and hassle.

Aha - Jude me dear, was lucky enough to be staying in a hotel in Ross on Wye, where they were relaxing after a concert in aid of Mcmillan Nurses. I just wish I'd heard them sober. Well, they might have been drinking, but I was already too far gone to find out!!!

Yes Mr Breeze you're a lovely cuddly sort of person and you're always nice to everybody. You don't speak in riddles or write in txt or anything! There, feeling better now? Are you going to Bed'th then? Is there no Blue Anchor evening to look forward to this weekend? What am I to do with me next-door neigbour then? No, don't answer that!

Now, now BreezyBaby, what are you like? Are you ever going to be nice to the nice folks out there?

Incidentally, thanks very much for announcing my inability to take advantage of the Bridgend Male Voice Choir. I was most diappointed not to have met them in person, but I fell asleep to the sound of them singing away in the bar while the room was still spinning! Unreal!

By the way, George Papavgeris is a man worth listening to as you'll find out sooner or later *G*

Eggsactly Mick, the whole name is too long.
Will you be going to Bederth?
Guru was too inebriated to fully indulge with the Bridgend male Voice choir last saturday.
Herga charity night was reasonably well attended, the performances were of a very high class and its the agm n/w
Last friday was our lowest attendance 23 of the season but this week we've already sold 45 tickets for Jeremy T
Hope to c u again soon and yes there are 2 buzzes on my guitar

Susan: Bedworth is a weekend festival, Herga, St Albans, Uxbridge, Maidenhead are all folk clubs , and Papa G is a guy who'se original language was greek but is a singer /songwriter of songs in English. Oh and the dig about the folksong and debating society is cos sometimes the regulars at uxbridge indulge in some friendly banter ( which the unkind might refer to as heckling) with guests that they know.

Rumour has it that the man writing very good songs will be going on Saturday
If you get a chance, listen to a few of his songs and judge for yourselves what Herga, St.Albans and Maidenhead have been enjoying for some time.
How is it that a Greek can give this country some well crafted songs that can be labelled 'Folk' and Brtish at that? Its called talent, amongst other things?
'A song once written is immortal'
He has written more than just a few.
