Subject: BS: I may have known Art Thieme From: folk1234 Date: 24 Nov 02 - 02:47 PM Wow! I may have known Art Thieme back in the 'good ole days.' I just received our quarterly highschool newsletter from Lake View HS, Chicago. It mentioned Art's lifetime contribution to folk music. He graduated in '59 and I graduated in '57. I went back to the 2 HS yearbooks I have '56 and '57 to look him up. I found him in the '56 book as a highschool sophomore. He looked like a bright-eye, bushy-tailed, all-American young man, while I looked like a punk. What a small world. Art: I'll PM you seperately. |

Subject: RE: BS: I may have known Art Thieme From: Art Thieme Date: 24 Nov 02 - 10:34 PM 1234, It's great to know that someone, at least, is older than I am----even if it's only by by two years. And, yes, that is a good newsletter the coach puts out. I enjoy reading it much more than I ever thought I might. That era of my life was one I wanted to put behind me as quickly as I was able to do that. So many people seem to have more fond memories of those few years than I seem to. Nevertheless, it's nice to recognize the names of a few that I remember. Best of all, it is always good to see who is still sliding down this razorblade of life. I'll get back to ya by P.M. Art |
