Subject: BS: Rainycamp coming up From: mg Date: 05 Dec 02 - 03:56 PM sign up by December 15 for a discount. Here is the URL: http://www.seafolklore.org/rainy.html Located about 30 miles outside Seattle, near Carnation, home of contented cows, where Carnation milk comes from. Or used to. Big Purina farm in the area now. It is really fun. If money is a problem, they have work scholarships. mg |

Subject: RE: BS: Rainycamp coming up From: mg Date: 05 Dec 02 - 04:18 PM I butt heads with them on this all the time...they haven't been giving day passes...something I disagree with...it can mess up food counts but they could just say bring your own food....mg |

Subject: RE: BS: Rainycamp coming up From: GUEST,cookieless Genie Date: 05 Dec 02 - 05:46 PM Jean Smith tells me all the scholarships got snapped up in one evening about a month ago, but she has a waiting list, in case folks drop out. Usually the drop outs don't occur until mid to late January, though, so she encouraged folks on the waiting list to pay early, to get the discount, and the $ can be refunded if a scholarship opens up. This year I plan to be there, barring ebola or something like that. I'll only have to drive to and from Seattle this time, so feeling a bit under the weather is not apt to stop me like it did last year (when I'd have had a 4-hour trip each way). Looking forward to it! Genie |
