It was indeed a pleasure to meet the lovely catsPHiddle and the er, delightful mic9a. We had a bizarre evening on Saturday. A regular mudcat convention...ossonflags, mesen, Cat, micca, bassic, smallpiper, oakley....was interesting. The venue is a dive, and the audience were small and er...strange. j0hn9 introduced me to a chap....."Pete, Foreign Bloke. Foreign Bloke, Pete." Smallpiper was desperately trying to establish what language he was speaking. Russian? Polish? Czech? He stayed all night, got roaring drunk and kept coming up to the stage to heckle us in Russian. The funny thing was nobody, including the staff, had the faintest idea who he was. John from Hull ended up on stage, until Mrs Ossonflags threw him off.

A wierd evening, but ultimately, rather enjoyable I thought. Look forward to meeting micca and cat again in the future.

Hints for Mariners.

If you find you have a micca in your hull, you have to repair it as soon as possible lest osmosis set in.

First soften the gel coat, using cider or any similar raw alcohol. Cat's pee can be used, but the moggy tends to object to being held while spraying.

Now smooth off the edges of the micca with complimentary northern grit, finishing off with a brief session rubbing against the grain of the layup. Renew the micca with a suitable filler (curry has been known to work well) and buff the ego to a deep shine.

Your hull will now be pristine, and the micca all but invisible.

If conducted at too low a temperature, the results can be reversed, resulting in an invisible hull, and a pristine micca.

Beware of this, for it may prove irreversible.
