Anyone know of any good songbooks that have children's songs from a variety of countries/cultures?

Looking for books that are still in print and available or easy to find as used books.

Hi, Martin - send a postcard or e-mail to World Around Songs and ask for their catalogue. They publish a wide variety of pocket-sized songbooks.

World Around Songs
20 Colberts Creek Road
Burnsville, NC
704-675-5343
e-mail: worldasong@yancy.main.nc.us

Their "International Library" is a collection of 25 different small songbooks for $50.

Actually, though, you'll find wonderful international songbooks available from the Girl Scouts. Their Sangam GIT / Samgam Songbook is a nice collection of international songs for $10.

Used school music textbooks are another excellent resource. I like the Silver Burdett and the Follett textbooks best.

The Sing Out! Bookstore is a little confusing to navigate, but it has an amazing collection of folk music books of all sorts. Today is the first time I've seen their new bookstore. It really is interesting. Go to the "browse" option, way at the bottom of the page.
