Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: GUEST,Angel Date: 15 Dec 02 - 03:35 AM It was in the early 1990's late 1980's if i recall correctly. I am also pretty sure it was from either a male solo artist or group. Thank you for your time, |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: GUEST Date: 15 Dec 02 - 03:48 AM I think you are looking for a song with the lyrics "What about me, it isn't fair..." which is the song "What About Me? by the group MOVING PICTURES - Album: 1982 With A Bullet Well there's a little boy waitin' at the counter of the corner shop He's been waitin' down there, waitin' half the day They never ever see him from the top He gets pushed around, knocked to the ground, He gets to his feet and he says: What about me? It isn't fair, I've had enough, now I want my share Can't you see, I wanna live, but you just take more than you give Well there's a pretty girl servin' at the counter of the corner shop She's been waitin' back there, waitin' for a dream Her dreams walk in and out, they never stop Well she's not too proud, to cry out loud She runs to the street and she screams: What about me? It isn't fair, I've had enough, now I want my share Can't you see, I wanna live, you just take more than you give More than you give Take a step back and see the little people They might be young, but they're the ones that make the big people, big So listen as they whisper: What about me? And now I'm standing on the corner, all the world's gone home Nobody's changed, nobody's been saved And I'm feelin' cold and alone, I guess I'm lucky, I smile a lot But sometimes I wish for more than I've got - What about me?, It isn't fair, I've had enough, now I want my share Can't you see, I wanna live, but you just take more What about me? It isn't fair, I've had enough, now I want my share Can't you see, I wanna live, But you just take more You just take more, you just take more than you give What about me? What about me? What about me? |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: Cluin Date: 15 Dec 02 - 03:53 AM Doesn't sound familiar to me either, sorry. What kind of song was it, anyway? Rock? Pop? Folk? Heavy Metal? Eurotrash Dance? Turkish Shepherdess Lament? Venezuelan Nose-clog Llama Chant? Isn't "Stump the Band" fun and frustrating too? |
|
Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: allie kiwi Date: 15 Dec 02 - 03:57 AM Cluin, I've been looking for a good example of a Venezuelan Nose-clog Llama Chant - got any you can recommend? *grin* Sorry, you tickled my funny bone with that one! Allie |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: Cluin Date: 15 Dec 02 - 04:19 AM Sorry Allie, I really can't recommend any of them unless you're looking for some sort of radical physiotherapy for a deviated septum. |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: allie kiwi Date: 15 Dec 02 - 04:24 AM Well a drunken bar brawl at the local irish pub left my cousin's nose looking rather lopsided - I'll have to let him in on your special treatment. Frozen peas just are *not* doing the trick! Allie |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: Cluin Date: 15 Dec 02 - 04:32 AM How many has he got up there now? I think the sinuses can hold about a cup of them, but you need a fairly long straw to wiggle them into place one at a time. |

Subject: RE: in search of unknown song From: allie kiwi Date: 15 Dec 02 - 04:37 AM It's the Return of The Peas that scares me. He just better not have nasal evacuation during a set is all I can say! I wonder if there have been any studies done on the long term effects of pea therapy? Allie |
