Lyr Req: When I Was Young (Bowers/Guard)

I used to hear a song that I can only label as "When I Was Young" (when I was young in the mid-sixties). The follow on lyric was,"...and dreams were new, I loved a girl who looked like you." And it went on from there.

Does anyone know the real title, who wrote it, and what the rest of the lyrics are? Now that I'm old(er), I find my wife likes to hear these kinds of songs. And I'd be happy to oblige her on this one, but the old memory banks aren't what they used to be! Any/all help most appreciated.

Can't recall the title, but I have it on a Kingston Trio album. Here's the first verse while I look up the rest...

When I was young
and dreams were new
I loved a girl
who looked like you.
I held her close
and she agreed
to love, perhaps,
a boy who looked like me.

...and the last verse is something like

But looking back
somehow I see
how seldom love
has come to me.
And I confess
that now and then
I dream of her
remembering when

When I was young
and dreams were new...etc.

Thanks for the quick response TIA/Tim and Masato. Yes indeed...the memories came flooding back as soon as I saw the rest of the song (I thought it had a Chad Mitchell or Kingston Trio sound to it).
