It's called 'May Blooming Field' and is a version of 'The Broomfield Wager' I'm pretty sure that it's been posted here before, but the super search isn't working so I can't locate it.

The lyrics used to be on the band's website (www.cordeliasdad.com) but that doesn't seem to be working either!

Anyway, I've got the words at home, and will post them later if no one beats me to it.

"The May Blooming Field is an old story with a new tune. Lester Hubbard got this version of the words from 92-year-old James Jepson in Hurricane, Utah, in 1947. Jepson said he learned the song in the 1870s when he hauled produce for the Mormon church."

That will continue to happen until the search engine is fixed. As it happens it was I who posted the song in the first place, but I didn't make the connection right away as the title asked for was wrong this time around, though it did sound vaguely familiar! Never mind.
