Subject: Tech: TEAC 2340 Simu-Sync info needed From: Bobert Date: 17 Dec 02 - 07:29 PM So I bought a TEAC 2340 Simul Sync on ebay and have seriously mispalced the operational manual. Does anyone have one and if so could I get xerox copy? It only about 12 pages but very important pages. Thanks. Bobert |

Now I recognize it - it's a real classic. I wonder when it was made - 1970's? Click here and enter 2340, and you should find at least some information. You would think TEAC would have a manual in PDF format, but I couldn't find one. They say you can e-mail them to request manuals: parts@teac.com -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Tech: TEAC 2340 Simu-Sync info needed From: Bernard Date: 18 Dec 02 - 10:11 AM I still use a 3440 - the 2340's bigger brother. It handles 12.5 inch NAB reels, and can be used with a DBX unit. The record head is also the sync playback head, which makes it ideal for multi-track dubbing. You switch off 'record' on the tracks you want to listen to, and set the monitor to 'sync play'. It's a doddle! There is also a separate playback head so that you can listen to what you have just recorded (not whilst dubbing, though!). This means you don't have to wait until after the recording is finished to realise you forgot to press 'record' on a particular track, and you can also adjust the level more accurately. I haven't use the 2340, but I imagine it has a few features in common with the 3440. |
