Halló all, now when christmas is coming and everyone is
going home to stay with their families and freinds, I want to
wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope that everyone get rest
from the madness witch we live in , I am going to rest and look into the light and look into a book and have some good times with my wife and kids.
And of course I will train my self all the christmas time.
Anyway the cristmas spirit has not get to me yet i don´t know
why ? but I think maybe the snow is missing , yes we are having
a spring time here in Iceland and it is going to stay like that
over the new year and it´s like staying in the south where
the heat is mellow all the year. i have said it once i will
again there is something very wrong with the wheather system.
Well i send you all a warm greetings from me and my familie and we are hoping that we all have peaceful christmas and new year.
Lots of love from Iceland, Skarpi Iceland.

Merry Christmas Skarpi! I'd send you a little snow from Canada if I could - it's pretty icy and frosty out there today ...but I sure know what you mean about the weather. Seemed like autumn didn't even arrive here until November! So getting some snow over the last few weeks has been a comfort, strangely enough.

Warm blessings to you and yours ...

daylia

Here's my Christmas greeting, Skarpi... a little scenery and, of course, a little music!

While I'd like to claim that this represents a typical Canadian scene from where I live, it's currently sunny and a balmy 9 degrees Celsius (not that I'm complaining, mind you)!

Unlike most Catters, I can actually say that I've been there to your wonderful country... many times, as a matter of fact. In my youth I used to fly anti-submarine patrols over the North Atlantic. Our detachments used to be based at Keflavik for weeks at a time. Sadly, we didn't have much opportunity to explore as tourists, but from the air your island looks absolutely amazing. The people are wonderful, too, but you already knew that! ;-)

Skarpi, I know what you mean about the Christmas spirit; I'm having trouble finding mine, too. Maybe it's in my apartment along with all the other things I can't find there! :^) We're supposed to get a snowstorm on Christmas Eve here in Mudcat Land (southeastern Pennsylvania USA) so we may have the first white Christmas here in over thirty years. Sorry to be taking the snow from Iceland where it belongs!

Anyway, I hope that you and your family have a merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year!

Sharon

Never mind the weather, mate -- the Christmas Spirit, like the Kingdom of Whatchamaycallit, is not outside anyway!! I know yours is in there -- just look behind your eyeballs and slightly to the left, and you'll find it!! :>)

Very very best of Holidays to you and your family, Skarpi!! And all your singing friends, too!

Regards,

A

Happy "Holly Daze," Skarpi!

It's quiet and warm here, too, Skarpi, but we are in the "banana belt" of Colorado, so not that unusual. The drought was this summer, though, and my brother tells me that Casper, Wyoming had a dry dust storm the other day when snow would be the norm. It's weird.

I think I have a quiet Christmas/Solstice spirit in response to so many who seem to go overboard with too much advertising, shopping, partying, etc. Anyway, I hope yours is full of peace and content and the year to come will be a good one for you and your family.

BarryT! Nice to see you! Didn't that card have snow falling one year? Or was it you who posted it? Must've been 4 years ago, because I remember that is what led me to some great email stationery. It sure is pretty.

Thanks,

kat

Merry Christmas, Skarpi.

And Barry, it looks like your scene around here, the Algoma area, now. Just add more snow and wind and you've got it.

Merry Christmas, Skarpi, family and friends!

Here in East Tennessee, we may have snow flurries, but accumulation is not expected.

Happy holidays,
Mary

Happy Christmas Skarpi.

The weather is strange everywhere and of course they say it's this "el Nino" and I don't know about that. But if yore weather keeps getting warmer, perhaps it would be a good idea to buy a couple hundred acres for future pineapple and sugar cane plantations just in case. Have a great holiday and don't forget your sunblock ;~)

Yerz in sunny Florida,

Seasons greeting from sunny Sydney. Lots of our christmas cards have snow on them!

We had a bit of rain today & if it continues tomorrow I am not joining my friends for breakfast in the back yard of our favourite cafe.

Sydney's christmas is usually hot & humid - yet many folks still cook turkeys & roasts & other English/European christmas food. Sensible ones get seafood & salads. Tomorrow I will overdose on prawns (shrimps to some of you) - yummy.

As my family live in tropical climes, & the folk festivals on offer next week are also in very hot places, I spend the time here. I'll just potter around, create a few crafty things, read a few books, stay close to the fan, listen to good music, & try & keep cool while folks in other hemispheres try & keep warm

Happy Holidays, Skarpi. I'm in a different part of Colorado than Kat lives in, and we just got hammered by a mediocre snowstorm. Six inches or so. So we're going to have a White Christmas, after all. The first in quite a while. I agree, the weather is fucked.

Kat, Dammit, you're not in the Banana Belt of Colorado, I am. Or, well maybe we both are. (Do you have water)? If you draw a line from La Veta, around Durango and the San Juan mountains up to Grand Junction, I guess it does kind of look like a banana. Love and wishing I could send some snow to you, Skarpi, BlueJay
