The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

are ploughing into the new year with two gigs.
One is tomorrow. Today even. And another next week.

First gig on Thursday 2nd January 2003, 8.30pm
at The Islington Folk Club
The Horseshoe Pub
Clerkenwell Close
Off Clerkenwell Green
Farringdon tube

(This is an acoustic gig in a very small pub venue - limited seats.
Some folk acts will also be performing)

Then next week on Friday 10th January, 8.30pm
at Cecil Sharp House
2 Regents Park Road
Camden Town / Chalk Farm
Tickets £7 / £5 (concs.)

Tickets available from 7pm, doors open 8pm

Don't forget that to get into Islington Folk Club you must submit your membership application no later than 31 December 2002 as the venue does not have a PEL.

Who has organised this band? are they British? Are they an offshoot of the ukelele organization that people like George Harrison used to be in?

Well, considering the Hawaii state flag has the Union Jack in its union, I'd say that's quite appropriate.   Wish I could be there....maybe once you hit the big time you'll be able to have a Hawaiian tour!

I know Dave ... he plays at our club here in Worthing .. so does Richard Durrant on occasions .. Brill both of them!

Do you know Dave .. I only ever call him Joe :)
