Can anyone help with the missing words in the following lyrics?
It's from "Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Vol. 3."

LOWLANDS
(Gary Scruggs)

1. I'm headed for the Lowlands. Won't you please direct my way?
Train is leaving shortly. There's no time for delay.
She told me she'd be waiting. I'm not so sure she is.
I heard that there's another man who claims that she is his.

CHORUS: Lowlands were my home when I was but a child.
They will be my deathbed when I'm past my time

Here's what I think I hear:

Verse 2, line 2:
We gathered the cattle which had scattered 'cross the fields.

Verse 3, line 4:
It's hard to think I'll mend things; nothing does endure.
