Subject: Lyr Req: Left in Peace From: van lingle Date: 05 Jan 03 - 01:12 PM This from a Dan Ar Bras recording entitled "Made in Breizh", I believe. It's a song which features Capercaille's Karen Matheson singing. Any help greatly appreciated. vl |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Left in Peace From: gillymor Date: 28 Mar 21 - 12:42 PM I'm sure my old friend van lingle would thank you if he were still around, #. As I understand it this song was inspired by the memorial gathering for Frankie Kennedy, co-founder and flute player for Altan. A lovely tribute to one who left too soon. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Left in Peace From: GUEST,# Date: 29 Mar 21 - 08:56 AM It is a beautiful song, gillymor. The recent spate of Lyric Adds, etc., is due to so many of the songs now being available online. Most of them weren't just a few years ago, so locating things was much more difficult. It is much easier now. I trust you are keeping well. Best regards to you. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Left in Peace From: Reinhard Date: 29 Mar 21 - 09:50 AM And you're good in finding solutions for old puzzles, # ;-) |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Left in Peace From: GUEST,# Date: 29 Mar 21 - 01:01 PM I am humbled, Reinhard. In many searches for folk music I find myself reading material from Mainly Norfolk in order to learn about song histories/backgrounds. I wouldn't hazard a guess as to how many hours you have put into the site, but it's one heckuva lot, so thank you :-) |
