Subject: RE: BS: For Auto Racing Fans in England From: Mr Red Date: 10 Jan 03 - 04:02 PM Brands is not like Indy. It twists a lot. Not quite a hilly as Laguna Seca though. Aren't Rockingham (UK) and Oscherslaben ovals? I find them much less interesting - bikes never use them (except Daytona maybe). |
Subject: RE: BS: For Auto Racing Fans in England From: Devilmaster Date: 10 Jan 03 - 11:02 PM Rockingham is an oval. CART has raced the past two seasons at it. Lagging attendance caused them to move the race this year. The short course at Brands Hatch is called 'Indy' because USAC, the precursor to CART, used the course for a few years in the late 70's.
