Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: GUEST Date: 17 Jan 03 - 01:19 PM very likely the cat was just down. regarding many of the posts here it is not much a loss. |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Ebbie Date: 17 Jan 03 - 01:24 PM Every time the Cat goes down, I'm glad that I bookmarked the Mudcat Help & Trouble Forum beforehand. There you can see that others are aware of the problem, there are bits and snippets of other information and you can say HI! Makes it a lot easier to do without my regular fix. |

Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Bobert Date: 17 Jan 03 - 01:56 PM Man, I thought John Ashcroft was behind it. Now ain't that a terrible thing to have pop into one's head as a first thought? Man, these Bushites got this ol' hillbilly a tad on the paranoid side these days. Nice to have the joint back... Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Jan 03 - 03:18 PM I tend to agree with you CH, but it now seems the "PEL" threads outnumber the "Mudcat Burped" threads so I doubt if complaining about it will help................. Spaw |

Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Bill D Date: 17 Jan 03 - 03:31 PM Mudcat is like the weather...it is so much a part of life that it DOES get it's comings & goings discussed....It's not a matter of 'need' |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Clinton Hammond Date: 17 Jan 03 - 03:48 PM Is there anything more pedantic than discussing the weather? |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Clinton Hammond Date: 17 Jan 03 - 03:58 PM Ya... maybe the bath VS shower thread.... |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Jan 03 - 04:10 PM It's improving Clinton........the thread, not the weather......way too damn cold here.......balls fell off my monkey. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 17 Jan 03 - 04:38 PM People talk about the weather because they feel like talking about something they have in common but which isn't likely to cause a fight. That's assuming they aren't in a mood for a fight - but if you're really in a mood for a fight you can fight about the weather easy enough. It's winter, it's supposed to be cold, unless you're an Ausralian or something. Last week here was as cold as I've known it - apparently global warming works the other way for this part of the world, because it shifts the Gulf Stream or something. I blame that Bush character. He's obviously doing it on purpose, insofar as he does anything on purpose rather than by some kind of blind instinct. |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 17 Jan 03 - 04:38 PM I thought Max might have been moving. He did warn us that this would happen one of these days. SRS |
Subject: RE: Tech: trouble getting on mudcat jan 16 & 17 From: JennyO Date: 17 Jan 03 - 08:12 PM At the moment in Sydney today, it's 36 degrees C - bloody hot! Yes, I wondered about Max, too. I seem to remember he said he might have to shut it down at some stage to make changes. Although I didn't like not being able to get on, I actually had a lot to do to get ready for a BBQ, so it forced me to get on with it. Jenny |

" No, winter is cold in Australia as well, they just have it at a different time of year! Now if you had said 'January's supposed to be cold...' Nigel |
