Subject: RE: Staines folk club From: Leadfingers Date: 19 Jan 03 - 03:29 PM Staines Folk club is a small very friendly club, with an inclination towards blues and old timey music, with all sorts of other 'Folk' as well. There is the usual infinitely variable level of singing and playing that goes with any club which actively encourages people to 'have a go'.The Three Tuns is possibly one of the cheapest places inside the M25 to get a pint of hand pulled bitter. If you are really unlucky I might even be there myself. |

Subject: RE: Staines folk club (UK) From: breezy Date: 20 Jan 03 - 08:16 PM Leadfingers was well behaved and complimentary, the singing was brill, for a small club it was full of encouragement and very friendly. I enjoyed it and the acoustics are worth a visit. Thanks Lorna and Hamish for joining with harmonica. Nice banjo Dave. Thanks Geraldine. If your in the area, go along, support your local music venue, anything goes.Mostly singers nights. Easy access to M25 less than a mile. |
