I have a song in my mind that I heard on a wax 78 almost 40 years
ago. I strongly suspect it's English or Scottish. What I remember
goes something like:

A courting for me, a courting for me,
if you'll go a courting you know you should be

If that rings a bell, please let me know. Or, if you're an expert on
English or Scottish folk songs over 50 years old, let me have your
phone number and I'll sing for you what I remember.
