Subject: Tudor Folk Club Mailing List From: Hamish Date: 20 Jan 03 - 03:20 AM Hullo from Tudor Folk Club. This is an invitation to join the Tudor Folk Club e-mailing list, which is low on volume, low on nuisance, but high on information (such as late changes to the programme or ticket availability). Information such as: - we've got Deb Sandland of the Phil Beer Band supporting Colvin Quarmby on 27th January - tickets are now on sale for The Tannahill Weavers on 10th February. The "Tannies" are Scotland's finest traditional band, with a diverse repertoire, embracing the mystical quality of the Highlander's Celtic music, and the rollicking qualities of the Lowlander's Anglo-Scots tunes and songs played on bagpipes, guitar, fiddle, bouzouki and flute and sung with four great voices. - tickets are moving briskly for Kate Rusby at The Elgiva Theatre on 31st March. However, there are still good seats available right now. ______________________________ Tudor Folk Club is a friendly club presenting a varied programme: we like all sorts of music, so long as it's acoustic based, and generally tending towards being 'in the tradition'. We tend to alternate guest nights with singers' nights ('Come All Ye's). We're very encouraging towards new singers, and everyone gets a generous and supportive welcome. We're in Chesham, Bucks, at the end of the Metropolitan Line on the tube network. More details at the web-site: http://www.tudorfolkclub.org.uk ______________________________ If you'd like to to join the list, please just mail me. I don't disclose addresses to anyone else: not even other list members. Cheers Hamish for Tudor Folk Club |
