Can any one point me to a version done with a real bugle or trumpet? All I've been able to find is a .midi, which doesn't do it justice. I need .wav because that's what the software exdpects to see and I can't convince it otherwise. Payment is find for a decent version.

Find a soundstrack to the John Wayne Movies, The Alamo and Rio Bravo. Both have a trumpet playing The Cutthroat Song. It is a haunting melody played on a trumpet.

Thanks Mr Meixner. My problem, I'm afraid, is that I really need a .wav and I can't edit worth shit. BTW, Deguello means 'cut the throat', as I suspect you knew.

Misophist

I searched Deguello on Kazaa and I get 2 hits. One from Rio Bravo and one by Dimitri Tiomkin which may be from Rio Bravo as well.

The Dimitri Tiomkin song used in Rio Bravo and John Wayne's The Alamo is not the original bugal call. Do a search on Youtube or a Google video search and you'll find lots of performances, including several of the Mexican calvary call, presumably the true Deguello. The 2004 movie version appears to use the "true" Deguello. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE1ydDg8uQ4&feature=related

Hey I'm not sure if you would like it as a mp3 file but anyway, I uploaded it here.

In exchange I would be happy if you could link the midi file.

A Degüello- trumpet or cornet

Toques- http://www.youtube.com/watchv?=vguRxrvQ&feature=related

The films varied the Toques de caballería to some extent, including this one.

Too late to answer mack/mesophist, but others may be interested.
