My Secret Santa pressie has finally arrived. Santa posted it to me on December 9th and it has taken this long to get here.

Thank you JenEllen for the CD of the Mudcat Gathering - I hadn't heard some of those songs in years - and the postcards.

Most of all thank you for the WONDERFUL book on healing herbs. I'd never seen that one and it's fascinating. (No CatsPHiddle, you CAN'T borrow it yet).

For anyone else still waiting - hang in there it may come yet.

me too - I thought I was the only one. It's good to be in such excellent company.

BUT has anyone else still got their christmas tree up? Admittedly it is only 6 inches high, & is covered in & surrounded by tiny decorations.

can't you sneak in some christmas stuff - my place is full of bears & many of those bears are chrissy decos! Tho as I live by myself there is no-one to object. I also have chrissy stuff on my well-decorated desk. When the office was renovted some years back I rescued a santa from the rubbish. He has a hole somewhere so he no-longer can be inflated so I call him Flat Santa & he fits in nicely with the bears & other stuff.

Sandra, did you notice I had that little red cat you gave me, stuck on my computer monitor? It's sort of my little mudcat.

As well as some silver bells, some red tinsel draped over my computer desk, more tinsel on the windows, and my 6 ft Christmas tree, and........

There are some schools of thought that Christmas isn't over till February 2.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Don't put 'em up before Christmas Eve. Take 'em down on Twelfth Night. The rest of the time isn't Christmas.

Probably is only a southern hemisphere event.

For you northerners, a lot of people here like to do the full Christmas thing with hot dinners and a roaring fire etc (NOT the bushfires), but December is impossibly hot to do this comfortably. So there are usually a lot of "Christmas in July" events around at that time.

Any old excuse to repeat the Christmas experience!

Maybe I'll just leave the Christmas dekkies and the flashing lights up till then...............................

WE take ours down the day after my birthday, but I suppose we could have an excuse for leaving them up till April 11 this year! Depends on whether you talk about Twelfth Night the date or "Twelfth Night" the play! ;-))
