I am looking for the lyrics and also the cords for the song, Down the Old Plank Road, as heard on the CD, The Chieftians, The Nashville session, Sounds like they are in the key of,D, but what is the second cord? Thanks for any help on this, Royboy

This is very common here in east tennessee (USA). It was one of Uncle Dave Macon's tunes.

Refers to the "Plank Road Brewery" in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their beer is 5.75% alcohol. Most other American Beers are 3.2%

I've been reading all the past threads about Uncle Dave Macon, looking for more verses to "Old Plank Road," and I thought I'd post some new ones of mine for anybody interested in this sort of thing.

Yes, I have one of those albums... can't recall which one. Personally, I'm tired of the Chieftains doing collaboration after collaboration. I kind of liked the album with Sting and Mick Jagger on it, but enough's enough...
