Probably 'Gonna Find Me A Bluebird' - Marvin Rainwater, from The Record Lady's All-Time Country Favorites (Spotlight On Marvin Rainwater).

GONNA FIND ME A BLUEBIRD

Gonna find me a bluebird
Let him sing me a song
Cause my heart's been broken
Much too long
Gonna chase me a rainbow
Thru' a heaven of blue
Cause I'm all through crying over you.

There was a time my love was needed
My life completed, my dreams come true
Then came the time my life was haunted
My love unwanted, all for you.

(repeat 1st verse)

~Masato

It's by Marvin Rainwater, who also recorded the definitive version in 1957. There was a great whistling break on it, sounded almost like yodeling. One's memory is imprecise (and incomplete), however...

Gonna buy me a bluebird
Let him sing me a song
'Cause my heart's been lonely
Much too long

Gonna paint me a rainbow
In a heaven of blue
'Cause my heart's been crying
O-ver you
(Surely there's more...)
