Anyone know any songs about Algonquin Native American Pocahontus (1595-1617), daughter of Chief Powhatan. I am a descendant, and this is for a genealogy project.

I was just returning to mention that. It's the same one as it turns out, though this time credited and with the music.

You probably have this, but an interesting genealogical note at American Memory. Put Pocahontas in Search and item 3 is a note on her genealogy from the Thomas Jefferson papers.
Thomas Rolfe, the son of Pocahontas, had 2 sons by his third wife, but apparently they used the spelling Relfe.

Here's the website for St. George's church, with the memorial and details of the time Pocohontas spent in England:
St. George's Church, Gravesend

Another place with a family connection is Heacham, Norfolk, home of the Rolfe family.

The real Pocohontas story is *far* more interesting than what Disney did to it in the film.

All the best with your research, wilco !
