Subject: Website for 'lone' travellers? From: GUEST,Unicorn Date: 03 Feb 03 - 06:10 PM I'm feeling SAD. The snow is beautiful I know, but I need some sun (preferably hot, hot, hot!). Does anyone know of a website than caters for "lone" travellers? All holidays seem to be based on two people sharing and once you add on the "single supplement" the cost seems to rocket! Any suggestions? - reasonable ones please!!! |

From: JohnInKansas Date: 03 Feb 03 - 10:54 PM Unicorn - I don't know of any websites, but the "travel" page in my local newspaper frequently lists "theme" tours - especially on the tourist ships, but occasional airline deals. Themes include "single." A call to a decent travel (tour) agent might get you some leads. Call from a pay phone, or visit under an assumed name, or they'll probably call you back - forever. John |

Subject: RE: Website for 'lone' travellers? From: nutty Date: 04 Feb 03 - 04:59 PM Unicorn .....if you are planning to visit friends or relatives travelling as a courier is also an option .... See here for details Courier travel I have used this method to travel from the UK to visit relatives in Australia (via Japan) and Thailand and other members of my family have done the same. The company I travelled with - Polo Express - allows you to book in advance. |
