Thread jumping hey, so that's what I do, sounds good fun. I was doing a bit of that but I was also moving Harry's thread up to the top. Sometimes us Brits get a bit lost on Mudcat.

Ok, while I'm here I might as well mention:
Chorlton Folk Club
Thursday Nights
South West Manchester Cricket Club
Ellesmere Road
Off Wilbraham Road
Chorlton
Free admission I think and very tasty hand pumped Hydes bitter.

The Barn Dance, supporting Friends of Longford Park International Day of Dance Sunday 4 May in the Park, was a great night. Music by the fantastic Madcap, calling by Ray, who is truly brilliant.

Thanks Harry

No camping facilities I'm afraid...there are B&B facilities nearby - - I suggest you contact Pauline Westall (0161 681 3618)the club organizer.

All the best.....................Harry.

Oh.....forgot to mention the room where the Extravaganza is held will be a non-smoking environment during the course of the weekend...anyone fancying a cigarette can just pop into the bar next door...I must admit I'll be one of those doing a bit of popping...

All the best.....................Harry.

I guess I did not realize where you are. Where the hell were you all when I spent the first 21 years of my life at 15 Loring Street in Newton Heath.

For all you Wraggart and Tight fans, there are some photos on the website now - get there via our newsletter or photo index page.

Glad you like the website, Ali - if you've any information or memories about the Crime View days, especially photos or posters (I have a scanner), I'd be very grateful - that includes the now legendary boat trips. You can e-mail me via the clickies littering the site!

Lord... it's only six weeks away! Maybe we should start one of those irritating count-down thingies... purraps not...!! ;^)

Tara fer now...

B

I'll pass your message on, John...one day you might be over on a visit, perhaps?

Floor spots as well, Steve - - in between booked artists and performing in the very same room...it's all very cosy.

Ali...glad you liked the site - - Bernard Cromarty, our webmaster, will be delighted. I didn't know you used to be an OD regular! Years ago when Pat ran the Cross Keys the group I was in, Tim Bobbin, did the residency there when she was on maternity leave.

Look forward to seeing you all...

PS. - - Big Bad Bob...let Pauline know what you thought of Taggart and Wright..she likes a bit of feedback. Missed 'em myself - - I was on a 'sicky' but I believe they were very good!

Sorry can't make it, it's too far for the weekend to come from Canada.
Say Hi to Marie Little for me though please Harry. I've not seen her for over 30 years. Tell her John Burton from the Noel Timpson Youth Centre says Hello. See how good her memory is.

It's in our diary also.

Went into the website out of curiousity and thought it was excellent. I particularly enjoyed reading about 'The History' as I was one of the regulars in the early days at the Crime View, and went on wonderful weekends to Haweswater with the gang (in my youth of course!!)

I saw Taggart and Wright at The Open Door a few weeks ago. They should be booked again. Talking to them afterwards they are thinking of turning up at the Extavaganza for a song or two. Heres hoping.

Thanks for putting the website on, Bernard. Les does tend to jump on Manchester related threads for a bit of advertising...mind you, I've done it myself in the past...

Congratulations and well done to the Bull's Head.

But don't forget that other Folk Extravaganza, The International Day of Dance in Longford Park, Stretford on Sunday 4 May.

And, more to the point, the Barn Dance on Saturday 8 March with Madcap at St Matthew's Hall, Stretford to raise money and awarness about the big day, Oh, and only £5.
