I had the good fortune to go and see Solomon Burke last night. What an amazing show ! What a thrill and an honour to see such a professional performance. He is singing better than ever and his band were tip top.

He is performing in Manchester and London. If you get the chance I would say with out hesitation go and see him you'll not be disapointed.

Peace love and happiness

Ritchie

Don't know nuthin' about him, but he's got a web page here: http://www.thekingsolomonburke.com/rose.html
(Note: there's a 'flash' page, but I skipped it because they're pointless. Opinion.)

Thanks Jeri, I'll wait until I get home before I delve into it. The rose is a nice touch. He is the nearest we are gonna get to the good ole days of Otis Redding Sam Cooke and the fantastic review shows of old. It's great when you can come out of a concert smiling knowing that you've had great value for money £15.50 and not short changed.
Jackson Browne is on the same venue soon but thats about 30 odd quid.
M'm as good as he is I think it's a lot of money.
