I am looking for rounds with the theme of either water or boats (aside from Row row your boat). Any ideas or leads?

The Paddle Song (Dip, Dip and Swing) which I first heard Caroline Paton sing, and now I hear her sweet voice every time I'm in a canoe!

Dani

Call John the Boatman and it's midi

I learnt the lyric at Girl Scout camp a little different

CALL JOHN THE BOATMAN

Call John the boatman, call him again
For loud roars the river and fast falls the rain
John is asleep, he sleeps very sound.
His oars lie at rest and his boat lies aground
On roars the river, so rapid and deep
But the louder that you call John
The sounder he will sleep

The Canoe Song thread tells more about the song Dani posted above. There are quite a few threads about this song.

Shenandoah can also be done beautifully .

An interesting variation of "Row, row, row, your boat" is
"Propel, propel, your craft,
Rapidly down the liquid solution,
Ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically,
Existance is but an illusion."

There is a round called The Boatman in the DT. I sing slightly different words:

Make Haste, Make Haste unto the ferry,
And we'll cross over and be merry,
And there we'll drink strong ale and sherry.
