Hi..I am whizzing up to Seattle this weekend for some R&R and hopefully it won't be a red alert weekend. Anyway, I'm going to Conor Byrnes I think Sat. night to see Clay Pipe. Anything else going on I should know about? I have to leave Sunday around 2 pm. Might have time for a set tomorrow night..don't know..

Hi Mary,

Friday night (2/14) Hank Bradley (bouzouki) and Cathie Whitesides (fiddle) play Greek music at Georgia's Greek Restaurant, 323 NW 85th in Greenwood (Seattle), music starts at 7 pm. Good food also. Get there by 7 pm for a table.

Saturday Night, Watch the Sky, Phinney Neighborhood center, 8:00PM, SFS Concert.
"Jan and Chris Glanister, lead singers of the Celtic band, Watch the Sky!, have been performing around the Pacific Northwest for 15 years. Joe Wagner, lead guitarist, joined up a decade ago. All three collaborate to create fresh arrangements of traditional Celtic songs and original music for the band resulting in some of their most popular songs, available on their two CDs (with a third one in-progress!). Watch the Sky's instrumentation is warm and full of traditional Celtic verve and their vocals are exceptional. Jan and Chris have focused on developing the band's signature sound and reputation for tight, expressive 3-part vocal harmonies. Chris' Welsh background and Jan's formal music training and experience blend into some surprising and innovative combinations."

Cheers, S. in Seattle
