I'm so apprecative of Mudcat, and all of the contributions over the years. It's a terrific resource, kind'a like living in the library!!!
(Which would be really neat!!!)
Thanks to all!!!

Quite a noisy library at times. Throwing books at each other sometimes.

I'm kinda new in town, but I gotta say, this place has a real cozy feel to it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. If it's o.k. with you, I think I may stick around a spell.

Ah, the antidote thread to Joe Offer's announcement that Mudcat will now be politically censored.

Wilco, I agree, nice place, nice people, great atmosphere, and if you can ignore the rantings of our guest, which good manners dictate, quite a cozy place.

wilco - I made quite a few visits to the DT before I ever even looked at the forum. I agree with you that Mudcat is a great place, and a wonderful resource! I'd have to give it an unreserved; "nice folks, good info, lotsa help" review. I visit almost daily!

Wonderful indeed.

Right now I'm feeling "that Mudcat Glow," after two different sets of Mudcat house guests this month (Kendall and Sinsull early in the month, then Dick Greenhaus, Susan of DT and MMario last weekend) and Jed Marum's Folklore Society concert and party blast last weekend.

I use the DT constantly as a reference, to find the "rest" of a song, to find songs for a "theme" concert or Open Sing, to find a song I can't get out of my mind, whatever.

But even better than the lyrics, the info, and the chat, the thing that's neatest is getting together with other Mudcatters and finding they're even more interesting, articulate, welcoming, and talented in person. And the musical interactions are just incredible.

Dex, I hope you do stick around, and if you read about a Mudcat gathering in your area, get there if you can, it can be a real joy.

Rita Ferrara
