Hi Everyone

I've lost the URL for this site and a search won't turn it up. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Cheers
deni

Deni,

do you mean the Usenet group uk.music.folk

The charter for the group is at:

http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.music.folk.html

and the FAQ at:

http://www.lesession.vcisp.net/umf/umf_faq.htm

Mitch

If you mean uk.music.folk it's a newsgroup and depending on your software/ISP you may have to set newsgroups up specially (usually there's some facility to get a list of supported newsgroups and then select the ones you want to subscribe to). You may also be able to access it via the URL news://uk.music.folk.

Failing that you can always look things up at Google's Deja News, selecting uk.music.folk in the newsgroup box.

Mick

Cheers all. I used to be able to access the site on my old computer, but now I can only get the charter page and there's nowhere to go from there.

I'll try the above tactics. Thanks for info.

Deni

There's http://www.musikfolk.co.uk/ as well - mail order company that specialises in folk/roots music. Worth checking out even if it wasn't the one you had in mind!

Linked from Martin Nail's site of course.

If you want the directory of the EFDSS (English Folk Dance & Song Society), which lists folk festivals, folk artists and folk events in the UK you might find the link below useful

http://www.rootsource.co.uk/
