Subject: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 21 Feb 03 - 01:34 PM Max has created a wonderful site for me and I asked him if I could put it into the Mudcat Market and he said it would be alright even though my site is not related to folk/blues and is not a handmade product. It might, however, bring in some cash to help the 'cat. Thank you Max! It took a while to perfect and Max did a wonderful job. Homeless put the site into Mudcat Market for me. Thank you Homeless! Entering the word "MUDCAT" into the discount code when ordering will get the purchaser a 10% discount and 10% goes to Mudcat. I can't do links, but there is one in the Mudcat Market. It would help bring the site to the top of the search engines if people entered it into their favorites or bookmarked it. I would like to give back to Max for all he has done for me. I hope you all don't feel this is an intrusion. Please let me know what you think and thank you for help. Love, Annamill |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Leadfingers Date: 21 Feb 03 - 03:12 PM I dont think you should have little blue clickies in threads that can lead lads like me into places like that.I am still only practising to be a dirty old man and dont need that sort of push.Great site and good luck though I dont think any of the items on offer would really suit me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: wysiwyg Date: 22 Feb 03 - 03:47 AM I see an interesting marketing partnership emerging here... Mudcat calendar featuring Annamill's models in Silver Satin lingerie.... yeah, everybody wins on that one..... So Anna, is there a Men's line? ~Susan |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 22 Feb 03 - 05:14 AM Of course I haven't looked at the site.... but I thought Annamill was running a video store, or is this a change to fit your new location? (You've probably said and I missed it on one of the threads I skipped). Hmm, too late for Valentine, too early for her birthday... perhaps I ought to check it out just in case.... RtS (wot no black bombazine?) |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 22 Feb 03 - 11:24 AM Susan, It was tough work getting the lingerie for woman up and running. Mens line will be in the future, but not too soon. The video store is no more. With all this tech stuff running around, why go down to the video store. We finally wised up. Hopefully, this new venture will do something. It's fun any way. Love, Annamill |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Amos Date: 22 Feb 03 - 11:52 AM Well, it's a good bet it won't be displaced by digital tech anytime soon, Anna!! :>) ("My dear, are you still wearing that 128-bit Wonderbra? Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: SINSULL Date: 22 Feb 03 - 09:42 PM So where's the flannel section? SINS, who bookmarked the site and will buy gifts. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 23 Feb 03 - 10:39 AM Sinsull, sorry. No flannel in this one. I've already decided to start a site called Nice'N'Naughty Lingerie which will have a bit more risque touch to it. I already bought the site. Now I'm thinking of starting a plus-size site also. I think I would call it Silver Satin PLUS Lingerie. What do you think? I could include flannel in there. Love, Annamill |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Liz the Squeak Date: 23 Feb 03 - 11:26 AM NO!!! No flannel in the biggies... I'm sick to death of looking at rows of nice and naughty nunderwear that doesn't go any bigger than 36C or size 16 hips.... Us women with 40inch chests and fat arses want to be sexy too! Why can't we have nice satiny stuff with a touch of lace, without having to pay a fortune? Make flannel thongs! Make flannel and reinforced upholstered bras for skinny bits! LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Charley Noble Date: 23 Feb 03 - 12:09 PM Try "Nautical and Naughty" to attract the wealthy sea music crowd. Search for "Frederick's of Galillee" for featured items. Cheerily. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 23 Feb 03 - 03:05 PM LTS, Oh don't worry! I have the same problem. There will be plenty of sexy going around in that site. I have some vendors that have some really wonderful items for us. But there is no reason we cannot have warm winter stuff too! As for VS, Don, shhhh.. that's competition! Love, Annamill |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: An Pluiméir Ceolmhar Date: 24 Feb 03 - 04:31 AM Still waiting for a sing-song (or should that be a thong thing) to start here... |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Kim C Date: 24 Feb 03 - 10:00 AM I am not a plus-size lady myself, but I think it is an excellent idea to offer plus-size items. There are only a very few vendors who do so you might as well get in on it! And now here's another thing, regarding men's things to be added in the future. Mister is tall. Not big & tall, just tall. I wanted to get him some nice jammies for Christmas (so he would quit sleeping in old t-shirts! c'mon guys!), and there don't seem to be any Tall jammies to be found. Still eyeing that velvet gown......... |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Noreen Date: 24 Feb 03 - 01:02 PM Now I'm thinking of starting a plus-size site also. I think I would call it Silver Satin PLUS Lingerie. What do you think? Serious question, Anna- why does it have to be a separate site? Can you not include the larger sizes in the main site? I particularly dislike shopping in places specially set up for larger sizes, even though I'm quite happy with the size I am :0) |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Noreen Date: 24 Feb 03 - 01:18 PM (Oh and yes, lovely stuff, Anna!) |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: An Pluiméir Ceolmhar Date: 24 Feb 03 - 01:19 PM Purely out of idle interest (OK, I'm a perv), I tried a google search for Silver Satin. Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Sandy Creek Date: 24 Feb 03 - 04:22 PM Sometimes, just for fun and profit, my lady and her two friends have a lingerie party. They stock up on a load of cheese and my homemade muscadine wine and order in some stock from www.betterthanbare.com and invite all the ladies (and men) in a 3 county area and, as they say, let nature take it course. We have a knockout neighbor who is a size 6 and a former model who displays the wares. She gets to keep everything that she models. Add some music and keep the vino flowing and everybody has a good time. Ah, life is good. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Deckman Date: 24 Feb 03 - 04:30 PM Hey Sandy Creek, that wine you make, is it the same as the "scuppernong wine" from the Civil War era? Also, something about this thread title has been bothering me. I finally remembered what. Back in my early college years, one hundred years ago, "silver satin" was the brand name of a terribly lethal cheap fortified wine that we all drank. CHEERS, Bob |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Kim C Date: 24 Feb 03 - 05:05 PM Well, Steve, you could go buy Pushkin something really nice! :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Sandy Creek Date: 24 Feb 03 - 05:56 PM Bob...yes, same as scupernong which is a form of wild grape. My family has made wine from these "grapes" probably since the Civil War or maybe before. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 24 Feb 03 - 08:12 PM betterthanbare IS one of my vendors,Sandy Creek. They have really fine lingerie. Of all types. ;-) Fun, huh? Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: catspaw49 Date: 25 Feb 03 - 07:12 AM Frankly Dave, I always figured it was up to the woman to provide the "power socket."...........Okay ladies, any of you that ain't got a Power Socket???? Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 25 Feb 03 - 09:41 AM No doubt there'll be a range of Irish linen thongs for men in a variety of sizes: "jersey mids" to "large bakers" apples" , the "spuds you really like" range. RtS (more a pink firapple man) |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: An Pluiméir Ceolmhar Date: 25 Feb 03 - 10:26 AM On the basis of standard Hibernian potato nomenclature, the range could run from Poreens via Kerr's Pinks to Lumpers. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Dave Bryant Date: 25 Feb 03 - 10:32 AM I expect that I'd only need the "Jersey Royals" size. |

Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: posterchild Date: 27 Feb 03 - 06:36 PM A new bathing suit seen on beaches of South France. Ladies and Gents...I AM serious. The top (two pieces) adhers to the breasts like pasties and the bottom (which comes in various sizes) "plugs" in. Imagine my surprise when the cheeky young lass what was wearing one sneezed. Anyone else seen these or heard of them? I am looking for an outsource. I was going to ask the young lady what sneezed but she hauled her arse off the beach before I could catch her. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 28 Feb 03 - 12:26 PM jimmyt, send your portfolio and resume to: Silver Satin Lingerie PO Box 6969 Hellsbelles, Ohio, 06969 **grin** 'spaw, I haven't been in here very often lately. Are you getting worse? ;-) Love, Posterchild, I laughed till I cried. Annamill |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Sam L Date: 28 Feb 03 - 07:33 PM I've looked at the site several times now, and it's very nicely done, easy breezy to navigate, friendly as a site can get, and has some very subtle virtues also, I think. The models are pretty, but not intrusive so you don't notice the clothes, and don't look all silly sultry sexy. At least most of them don't, but some people like that sort of thing. One tends to imagine their wife, or best friend or whatever, in playful attire and in a friendly mood. That's pretty darn good, probably not easy to do--a lot of lingerie ads look silly to me, but we're old hippie types, not too lingerie-oriented. These are nicely done ads. Can I ask here, what is the deal with thongs? I hear conflicting reports. Either they are uncomfortable and worn simply for visual effect, or, the opposing view of the two thong-women I know is that all women's underwear is a daily ongoing up-in-there battle--you put on a thong and it's there and you're done with it. One woman denied it was flattering to her at all. (I felt she maybe didn't have the proper point of view to make that call.) The other more reasonably allowed it does sort of accentuate the butt. Uh-huh. Our research team has thus far been unable to verify either view independently, because of our yarbles. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Bill D Date: 28 Feb 03 - 10:43 PM " The top (two pieces) adhers to the breasts like pasties and the bottom (which comes in various sizes) "plugs" in." lawzamercy!...the old joke about bathing suits being reduced to "two band-aids and a cork" is now a reality? Why bother? lovely lingerie can be a fine thing, but both buyers & sellers should beware of grotesque extremes. Start with pretty,annamill.....there are PLENTY out there doing the excessive. I wish you luck....there's a lot of competition. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Sam L Date: 28 Feb 03 - 11:22 PM Oh I wanted to mention a thing going on in Japan now. Skirts which have a fake "see-thru" print, showing undergarments in usually in an in-elegant array. They are not classy garments, but it's kind of funny. In photos it's hard to make out that they aren't actually see-through skirts. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 01 Mar 03 - 03:23 PM Thongs. Personally, even when I was thin and had, quote, a butt like a young boy, unquote, I couldn't stand thongs. I always felt something was riding up and I was constantly seen doing "The Pull". I have had women tell me they won't wear anything "butt" (pun) thongs. Hey, it's a new world and, as I used to say in the sixties, everybody's got to do their own thing. Today I say, everybody's HAS to do their own thing. Funny how we change over the years, huh? Thank you for the compliment, Fred. Classy was what we was aiming for and I think we made it a little. **Smile** Love, Annamill |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: Sam L Date: 01 Mar 03 - 05:31 PM Oh I think you made it quite. I say everybody has got to do their own thing. To each his or her own, or its equivilent. Thanks for the object lesson. I'm going to have to get a site together myself, and found yours interesting and well done. |
Subject: RE: BS: Silver Satin Lingerie From: annamill Date: 02 Mar 03 - 10:02 AM It was fun and exciting to create. Now..if only it wold bring in some cash! |
