Tech: Net problems...anyone else?

I'm having problems tonight and it's really strange.


I can get Mudcat without a hitch but can't get any sense out of Google and a dozen other UK sites.

I have a broadband connection through NTLand run Netscape as my browser.

Anybody out there having problems or is it just me??????

I'm gooogling fine (also on Ntl [broadband]). But I've had problems for the last two days getting into e-mails and getting on-line.

Nutty,

You might want to see if your Internet Provider has changed to using new filters on their system. And you might want to look at the settings on your firewall. I also have problems getting stuff on some pages to load properly (especially new windows with forms when I toggle some links), usually when I have the ad blocker on. I have to turn it off for the JavaScript to work properly.

Nutty,

NTL Broadband here as well, and no problems. May be worth calling the support line. I've had localised problems in the past.

Oh yes, and if you're connecting via a set-top box, try rebooting it. Can work wonders.

Thanks folks ..... it must have been a localised problem as it seems to bo working OK.

But it was a first (which made it seem so strange) to get MUDCAT but not Google.
