The things you've got to do the get someone's attention, just a reminder to all that Saturday the 15th March will see the Runswick Bay Rescue Boat fundraiser at The Wheel, Golcar Huddersfield.
Two sessions both free and easy, as the fund raising itself will be.
One session from 1.30ish till 5ish the second from 7.30ish till throwing out time.
To find the Wheel take the A62 from Huddersfield after about a mile take a right turn at The Warren House and follow the signs through Milnsbridge to Golcar. At the junction Inn take the left fork the Wheel is on the right hand side after 500 yds. The venue is a little over 2 miles from the town centre. Phone [phone] more details if required

I have it on good authority that none of the beer will be incarcerated although it will undoubtedly be behind bars. However this was not Raggytash trying to give the beer away but merely a plea for you all to turn up and pay the ransom to have it released. It was not an offer but an instruction. So lets go and free that beer!!!

Mrs Duck, your intereptation is extremely accurate,(honest Injun!) however not being one to upset another (unwittingly at least) should Fortunato ever venture to these shores, or should I venture to theirs I will endeavour to purchase a pint in order to assuage any misconception. Considering the Runswick Bay Rescue Boat needs all the good will it can muster in order to keep functioning. As I have ementioned in previous threads this inshore rescue boat is NOT sponsored by the RNLI who pulled out on 1977 saying that the area could be covered by the Whitby boat (10 miles to the south)All monies raised go directly to keep the service running.

I've got this prestigious gig playing Paddy music at the White Rose Shopping Centre and I may only make it for some of the evening sesh. However I am going to try.

Raggy you have missed the point a little bit, by others saying something on your thread it rockets to the top increasing the number of people that will see & therefore hopefully increasing the number of people that will attend your event.

There is an excellent bus service to Golcar about every 10 minutes during the day. 301/302 ask for the Junction Golcar from there its a shory walk

That figure has now increased to £170.00, I'm doing a gig tonight so the tin will be out to be rattled around the audience. My 2 heavies will be on hand to catch people by the ankles and shake them warmly till their pockets are devoid of loose change so that figure should increase. Thanks again to one and all.

I asked a friend to write me a cheque for the £170.00 we raised for the Rescue Boat, I do this in order to ensure that more than one person is responsible for the monies being sent. When I collected the cheque he'd rounded it up to £200.00 What a star, cheque has now been sent to the tresurer:-
