Subject: El Paso TX and Environs From: JedMarum Date: 09 Mar 03 - 11:04 AM I have had a heck of a time finding likely venues in the vicinity of El Paso TX. I am planning a trip to the Tucosn Folk Fest in early May and would like to work my way out/back - El Paso is a good candidate for a Thu night gig (May 1) maybe I could slip that a day either way ... Are there any West TX or East NM Mudcatters with suggestions? Also any thoughts on likely radio shows for a possible on-air visit? |

And the University of Texas at El Paso. Both have radio stations, at least a place to start. Las Cruces is a much smaller venue, but as a distinct college town might have a more concentrated audience for you. KTEP is in El Paso KRUX is the student run radio station at NMSU. KRWG is the NPR affiliate at NMSU. SRS |

Subject: RE: El Paso TX and Environs From: Stilly River Sage Date: 11 Mar 03 - 04:11 PM I don't want to start a later day boundary dispute, but at one time all of the territory in eastern New Mexico (the Rio Grande was the boundary) was part of Texas. With those parameters, you might find a few faux-West Texans out there. Okay, okay, I'm leaving and won't mention this again. . . |
