Subject: RE: The Log Cabin Boys From: GUEST Date: 14 Mar 03 - 05:07 AM I saw all the listings for the Jones Bros/Log Cabin Boys, but they're just listings of albums -- no names of musicians or biographical info at all. For all I know, they could be a third group using that name. I think there's even one in Canada. |
Subject: RE: The Log Cabin Boys From: nutty Date: 14 Mar 03 - 04:29 AM I am slightly confused as to where The Log Cabin Boys, who sing with the Jones Brothers, fit in. Are they the same group? If so , there is quite a lot on the internet about them. |
Subject: RE: The Log Cabin Boys From: nutty Date: 14 Mar 03 - 04:16 AM This site lists the Log Cabin Boys (1960's) as....... Bill Philips ...fiddle Edward 'Shorty' Eager ..... banjo Charles King , Charles Conrad ...... Guitars Jay Haney ........ Bass University of Oregon |
Subject: The Log Cabin Boys From: GUEST,rockdog Date: 13 Mar 03 - 11:26 PM How many groups with the name Log Cabin Boys are there? I know of one that had Pee Wee King in it and another that recorded on the Rural Rhythm bluegrass label in the '60s, featuring Shorty Eager on banjo. It's the latter that I need some general info on, since there's virtually nothing on the Internet. |
