I am searching for an author for a québécois song called Descendant la Rivière:

I've got an artist who wants to record it and thinks he learned it from the author many years ago in Quebec, but he can't remember the author's name. I can't find it here in Digitrad, nor can I find any reference in Harry Fox or CMRRA.

You might try this site here: THIRTY BELOW ZERO . Guy Bouchard is an expert on Quebec music. If he is available I would be surprised if he didn't know something about this song.
