Subject: Pro choice song 'The Last Walk' From: GUEST,davsong@aol.com Date: 24 Mar 03 - 08:50 PM I am looking for the author and further lyrics to a powerful song i learned about 20-25 years ago. I've totally lost track of who I learned it from. It started like this (more or less) So she took that last walk down the dark hallway, and on to the table of death Four kids at home and her husband gone there's no room for number five just yet But somehow she never stopped bleeding The doc said he'd done it a hundred times before Baby's crying for his evening feeding Mommy won't be coming back no more And the chorus went (more or less) And they want to take us back back to the chopping block, butcher shop coat hanger pit stop where they suck the life right out of you But for the women who gave her life that night They ain't talking about her right to life David T |

Subject: RE: Pro choice song 'The Last Walk' From: katlaughing Date: 25 Mar 03 - 03:18 AM Phew, that is powerful...touches a few raw nerves. I did have a look on google, but didn't find anything likely. Good luck, kat |
Subject: RE: Pro choice song 'The Last Walk' From: wilco Date: 25 Mar 03 - 09:29 AM Unfortunate propaganda here at the mudcat, attempting to justify murder of babies. God Bless all these dismembered little babies. |

Subject: RE: Pro choice song 'The Last Walk' From: Hester Date: 25 Mar 03 - 01:05 PM "Wilco48", I notice that you're very free with your political opinions here at Mudcat, yet you hide behind a pseudonym (which I assume refers to the very talented band Wilco, none of the members of whom would support your right-wing position). Hey, brave man ... take off the mask or shut up! I'm sick of reading you misogynist hate-mongering on this forum. Hester ... former rape crisis counsellor, who saw what the Morgentaler clinic looked like after it was fire-bombed by people who share the same political perspective as "Wilco48". They profess lots of concern for the fetuses they refer to as "little babies", but demonstrate no concern for the lives of health workers, patients or bystanders when they bomb women's clinics, or for the doctors that assassins such as James Kopp stalk and murder in their homes |
