hey DG! What's unusual about having to pay for the services that allow you to hold a function?

If I rent a hall for a meeting I pay for the use of the property and for the time of the employees.

Now, where's the "Nazism"? Requiring a permit before blocking a public through-way? Ya need one for festivals, parades and other functions that require rerouting of traffic and extra labor by city workers - why not for a demonstration where you are planning on blocking a road?    That is not uncommon in the US. Of course, maybe I'm seeing this from the lofty age that your ranting and non-sequitor arguments and generally immature behavior would indicate you have not reached.

The demonstrators/protestors etc., round here file and get a permit regularly. They show up with their placards and sing and what not and when they've made their point they go home...

Oh, wait... maybe you meant the Nazism was the story about the bones found in the woods possibly belonging to the guy who disapeared in '78. SEE?!?!?! I Told you the black helicopters were involved!

My grand-nephew used to say "bucket" when he was really little and it was cute. As he got old enough to figure out the difference, my neice wished she'd never taught him that as an alternative. It didn't take too long, though, before he dropped it. Good thing it was before he started school!

BTW, for those who may be interested, Central Avenue used to be called Route 66. It is both a main east-west arterial and the core of a busy shopping district. Since it is also the southern campus boundry, it is convenient for University of New Mexico students who want to protest something between classes.
