Subject: Lyr Req: 'The Slow Destruction of the Simbo II' From: Jenny Islander Date: 28 Mar 03 - 09:35 PM Speaking of sea songs that won't leave me be even though I can't remember the words: The chorus runs, "Ride, ride, ride the wild ocean, Sail, sail, sail the cold sea; You take a chance when you take to the ocean; You pay your dues most dutifully." And the song is about a modern fishing boat that was thrashed to death on some rocks while the crew helplessly watched. |

The hardest part of the experience was watching the boat, my friend's livelihood, being tossed and beaten by the waves on the shore. Charley Noble |
