Please pardon Mrs. Stoopid again. His name is Owen Jareth not Jethra. I was wondering why they were using the fem of Jethro.....Jareth is a made up name, but some sculptor that makes Christian/Christmas figurines used it for his Little Drummer Boy.

WE ARE HAVING A BABY TOMORROW!!! (Oct. 16th) One way or another, Owen will be here tomorrow. They are going to induce because ultra sound says he is over 8 lbs and Tiny Little Mamma is very tiny with NO hips to speak of. If she has trouble, they will do a C-section. They have to be there at 6:30 AM and I can't get there until about 4 PM (1600) so if there is a section, I might be Granny before I get there!!!

Sorcha, ten years ago tomorrow, we lost a dear friend. I've been thinking about him a lot, trying to decide what I should do to mark that day. Now I know, I shall toast to the memory him and you and your new grandson. It's a comforting thing to see life affirmed whilst remembering the passage of life, too. Oh goody, another one! It seems like no time at all since my little mudkitten grandson, Maxwell, popped into the world, and he's 3 months old now.

Now the thing to do is get a good strong torch and shine it in Owen's directions, 'cos you know, it's the light that attracts 'em :-)

and I suppose she was not able to get there til

OK, still no baby. Started the pit about 7 AM, and by 6PM she was only dialated to 4. Did an ultrasound and his arm is up over his head so they stopped the pit for tonight, will try again in AM and if no better results, C section tomorrow.

WE HAVE A BABY!! It is a boy, so welcome Owen Jareth to the planet. Born naturally at 4:03 PM, MDT. 7 lbs 10 oz, 19" long. Natural but he had to be sucked out with a giant vacum cleaner thing which sort of bunged up his head. Dr. said he had the longest fingernails she had ever seen on a newborn. Little Mamma said "No wonder my belly hurt all the time. He was trying to dig his way out!". Light brown hair but not much of it, and of course, newborn blue eyes right now. He is a pretty baby, not all messed up from being born except for a bruise/sore spot on his head from the 'vacum'. Pretty, long fingers. All the usual complement of fingers and toes, but he seems to be sucking 'backwards'. Might be a small problem. He is currently a "Cone Head' because of being stuck in so small a place for so long, but that will go away very soon. Iz a Granny for real now!!!! WHEEEE! We are gonna have sooooo much fun!
