These people have them booked for Father's Day, 2003, perhaps they would have an address.
events@lackawannacounty.org
I wouldn't trust them, though, they spelled Seamus' name wrong, grin!
Or, you could try Switchboard.com Good luck!

Dave, you can contact Bob Rogers (Brother of Chuck, and an Irish Balladeer) at redrosecafe@msn.com.
It's a great song, eh?

Seamus

Right, Sorcha indeed. I'm going to record it for my next album.
Along with a couple of other coal-mining songs.

Seamus,

Yes it is a fantastic song. I'm hoping Chuck won't mind if I record it. I'd like to get his permission.

Thanks for the info,

Dave.

Dave, Chuck's a really nice guy and a helluva songwriter.
A lot of people have recorded this one, and attributed it to "Trad."
He's got a load of other great songs, especially about the Civil War and mining.
If you PM me here, I'll give you his phone number and you can call him.

Seamus

Seamus,

I'm not sure what PM means... private message? Anyway, I would love to hear more of The Irish Balladeers, have you any idea where to find their discs online? I love songs about the role of the Irish Brigade, etc. in the American Civil War, i.e. Steve Earle's "Dixieland". We actually played at The Banshee in Scranton, three days before Paddy's Day this year, and only after we got home did I realize that the Balladeer's were A: from the Scranton area and B: playing at The Banshee on St. Paddy's Day. I play with a band called 'The Peelers', from Glengarry County in Eastern ON. www.thepeelers.ca

Cheers,

Dave.

Dave, PM is personal message, but you have to a member of th e'Cat. Well worth the effort.
I performed at the Banshee 2 weeks ago, I play there three or four times a year. Kathleen Rogers, one of the owners is the daughter of Chuck. If you call her she can give you the home number.
I also do quite a few shows through the year with the Glengarry Bhoys. Know them?

Seamus

Yes Seamus,

I absolutely know the GG Bhoys. The fiddler Shelley played with us for a while. I have also been on a few tours with Hadrian's Wall, another band from home, with Zig from the GG Bhoys as merch guy. Don't get to see them too much as they are often gone, mostly to the U.S. Thanks for the info Seamus, maybe I'll catch up with you somewhere down the road.

Cheers,

Dave
