Subject: RE: The Smith Sisters: anyone heard of them? From: fox4zero Date: 09 Apr 03 - 01:10 PM The Smith Sisters had formerly been in the cough drop business under the names of Trade and Mark, the Smith Bros. When the Mach 3 razor was introduced, they shaved, dressed in drag, and went on to an unenviable career as performers. That's the gospel truth! Larry |

From: Stilly River Sage Date: 08 Apr 03 - 08:33 PM Is this another request for your privately published CD, like you asked for information about Bryan Bowers? People are curious about this project in which you're putting out a CD about people you know little about. What is going on here? SRS |

Subject: RE: The Smith Sisters: anyone heard of them? From: clueless don Date: 08 Apr 03 - 11:03 AM Debi and Megan Smith. They are American. I believe that Debi currently performs with a group called "The Four Bitchin' Babes". Debi once was a member of a Washington DC/Baltimore MD area Irish group called "The Hags". The Hags used to perform "Leather Winged Bat", so that may be where Debi learned the song. |

Subject: The Smith Sisters: anyone heard of them? From: GUEST,mrbisok@aol.com Date: 07 Apr 03 - 09:07 PM I have a wonderful recording on tape of "Leather Winged Bat" by a group the DJ identified as The Smith Sisters. The Internet can give me nothing on The Smith Sisters. Just a few basic questions: They sound American. are they? Any album titles you know of? "Leather winged bat" is from what album? Any idea of what decade they were on the scene? -- Thanks: Harold, from Hawthorne, NJ |
